I’ve come along way since I first began to blog. To begin to write “non traditional” haiku, prose and poetry… Thoughts and feelings and emotions, trying to express what’s on the inside. Trying to put “them” on paper, in print, and release “them” to the outside universe.
To free up space, for Him.
And as I sit here with this beautiful gift that He left for all mankind, reading something in today’s devotional speaks my exact thoughts, word for word why I am compelled to write.
“David wrote as many as 73 of the 150 Psalms. A collection of poetry, songs and writings, David’s Psalms reflect his deep love for God and express his honest laments. Those songs continue to draw people’s hearts to God today.”
In no way are my writings comparable to the Psalms, but that’s my objective. My heart’s desire and goal. That something I share here will draw one person’s heart to God‘s heart. And then the relationship would begin from there.
As I’ve matured in my faith, the Holy Spirit takes over and writes for me. I get to join in and together we want to point others to Him. To make space for Him.
Then prayerfully, over time, their lives would be all about Him.
