Are you experiencing writer's block?

Log onto Writer'sDigest.com and choose a "prompt" to get your juices flowing. Here are some I've selected. I'll be back later with my story.

You were recently laid off. Instead of moping around, you've viewed it as a chance to start fresh. Pick a new career and write about your first day on the job.

You've been hired by a bumper sticker manufacturer to come up with ideas. Write a clever or witty phrase you'd love to see on a bumper sticker. (If you want, write several.)

Write about an intense game of Scrabble that takes an ugly turn for the worse.

Write an apology letter to yourself for not taking a chance you wish you would have—whether it be in love, work, your writing career or even something silly.

Fear vs Faith

Fear use to be a really good friend of mine until someone I met introduced me to Faith. Now, Fear is a distant memory and Faith checks in with me on a regular basis.

My friend, "Scrapbook of a closet poet" wrote a special poem on Faith. Reading it lead me to Post the above epiphany. Thanks Jen!

I feel more alive
when I'm writing
than I do at any other time-
except when I'm making love.

One of my favorite quotes...

We deem those happy who from the experience of life have learned to bear its ill without being overcome by them. "Carl Jung"

A quote shared this morning by a "COP"

"The human heart has hidden treasures,
In secret kept, in silence sealed;
The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures,
Whose charms were broken if revealed"

The sun on me

I'm squinting, it's blinding
my shadow overpowers me

Radiant yellows and oranges
correspond with me

The birds and clouds
compete with me

The warmth and comfort
smothers me

It's fading, please stay
don't abandon me
