Evil acts occur each day.
The news is more and more horrific.
Death seems so very normal now.
Random and intentional killings.
War, hatred and fighting for control.
Power, greed and the hardened hearts.
This is not new to mankind.
It is so unfortunate and so very real.
The images and the ongoing notifications.
The heartbreaks and the long suffering heartaches.
The absolutely irreplaceable void of loved ones.
The death notifications and the ongoing funerals.
This violence is no respecter of persons.
Family suicides, the youth and elderly included.
I weep and weep and weep some more.
My flesh is angry and my flesh is frustrated.
My flesh is perplexed and my flesh is at peace.
How can the latter be?
The remedy is in our midst.
I may not fully grasp the gravity of it all.
I surely don’t like the consistency of it.
But I know the reasons behind it all.
The god of this age has blinded their eyes.
The heart is wicked and filled with deceit.
The sin-nature does not seek God.
But that didn’t stop God from providing a way of escape.
The second death can be a beautiful one.
Strange to the ears but so very true.
