What I See As I Look At This Tree
I’ve never climbed a single tree.
I’ve only felt the gentle breeze.
I’ve never swung in a tire swing.
I’ve always longed for my own wings.
I’ve never carved my initials there.
I’ve never lived without a care.
I’ve collected leaves in many shades.
But overtime the memory fades.
The thing I love most of all,
is when the leaves begin to fall.
Short or narrow, or vast and tall.
In every season I hear can HIS call.
As beautiful as a tree can be
the roots are what matter most to ME!
Admire the trees and watch them grow.
But cling to ME and #never let go!
